This thesis reviewed the attitude of accepting Gasa(lyrics) for the feature and cause of Chinese translation in Seopo Kim Man-jungʼs 「Kwan-dong-byeol-gok」, and define the meaning of the poem history in Chinese translated Gasa. Originally, the study on the Chinese translation Gasa was common by comparing two poems to find differences in expressions or forms in the trend. When we define the interpretation of the value logic or cause of the background about the result of the two Siga, the position in literature of the original Gasa would be clearly defined. Seopoʼs Chinese translated 「Kwan-dong-byeol-gok」 showed a characteristics of often changes of the contents which could be renamed as new creation. There was often elimination or adding in the phrase of the song which shows no responding relationship. In case of responding phrase for instance, he distorted the contents by maintaining the basic meaning than revive the song, and focused on the structure and aesthetic sense of the Chinese poem. Also, he changed his letters of the Gasa which have expressed his royalty and idealism in his poem to express mood by mediation of the nature in travel around Kwandong region and express his mental freedom. He dare to change the form by a by his own principle and standard of expression in Chinese poem to create new meaning. His Chinese translation method was difficult to understand when we compare his opinion on Korean lyric and translation works in 『Seopo-manpil(西浦漫筆)』. When we interpret this kind of poem with contemporary literature trend, this kind of translation tide was deeply influenced by flood of leisure travel culture from 16th century. Many of 17th centuryʼs travel poem was created by the influence of direct travel experience or indirect leisure travel experience in the forms or materials of the poem. 「Kwan-dong-byeol-gok」 written by long Korean letter clearly expressed Seopoʼs indirect travel experience to Kwandong Region to enjoy his leisure travel also, Seopo who recognized the limitation of translation from Chinese letter to Korean letter decided to copy the Korean language style and enjoyed his nature travel in the imagination. However, some of ideological phrases of 「Kwan-dong-byeol-gok」 in his song made him difficult to enjoy in freedom, which needed his own sense of mood to characterize the materials of leisure travel in the beauty of nature. He eliminated Song-gangʼs individual idea or emotional and ideological song poem but instead concentrated to portrait real sceneries to add new phrases in his Chinese translation method to prove it. Seopoʼs Chinese translation of 「Kwan-dong-byeol-gok」 began from the honoring or pride of Korean lyric song by the Song-gangʼs individual political stand, which had root on the popular leisure travel culture. Until now, we have focused on the influence of the Chinese letter style poem to Korean literature, and admit the viewpoint about the prejudice on opinion of inferiority of Korean poem compared to Chinese poem or symbolic expression by noble classes. Finally, we can conclude that first, Seopoʼs Chinese translation poem is one of unique and superior Korean literature asset in poem song. Second, we can define the position of Korean poem which proudly have expanded the literature realm in 17th century at the center of the culture. Third, this materials showed potential power of Korean literature which could share the role with traditional Chinese poem emphasis trend of the literature in the era.
