The purpose of this article is to explore a design model in the Korean Methodist Church and to rediscover the essence of the Bible conference. This effort is to find a relationship between the spiritual awakening movement and the Bible education. Historically, the Bible conference brought the result of personal change for holiness and participation of the social transformation through their changed lives. The Bible study conference of the early Korean church transferred into a series of great revival movement and led to religious experiences such as repentance, rebirth and sanctification. Therefore, this curriculum design is concerned with how the Bible conference is to develop the materials for experience of conversion and sanctification. The paper consists of three parts. The first part examines historical analysis in the Korean Methodist curriculum, especially the Bible conference curriculum as the methodist education of theology and curriculum. The conversion and sanctification is the subject of the 4th Bible conference curriculum based on the process of redemption in the light of theology of John Wesley. This subject will reflect on the interpretation of the curriculum contents and discuss the application to life. The second part is a design of curriculum development. For this central purpose to be fulfilled, the principle of the curriculum design has to consider the sequence for goal setting, scope, and organization. The goal is used to describe the specific statement of what should be experienced from a unit, conversion and sanctification. The Bible as scope of curriculum is the main foundation for the Bible conference. The way the curriculum is set up is to invite adult participants into meaningful experience through encounter of The Story and their stories. The third part is a guide to the structure, contents and practice of curriculum for curriculum writers. The organization of curriculum has six graded materials. The lesson format features four steps: subject and the Bible reading, sharing of The Word and my stories, interpretation and experience of The Word, and transforming and acting of the life: conversion and sanctification. The curriculum design is a guide to development, to help with curriculum writing and to be a teaching-learning manual for teachers. The main purpose of the 4th Bible conference curriculum development is to restore the Bible conference experience of conversion and sanctification in Christian life.
