이 연구는 효과적인 한국어교육을 위해 문화교육 항목을 편성하는 데 목적이 있다. 목표 언어의 문화에 대한 이해가 없이는 제대로 목표 언어를 습득할 수는 없다. 그러나 많은 경우의 한국어교육 현장에서 한국문화는 언어의 기능적 면과는 분리되고 한국어 학습자의 요구와는 동떨어진 내용인 경우가 많다. 따라서 본고에서는 설문조사를 통해 학습자들이 요구하는 한국 문화 수업의 유형과 의사소통능력 향상에 영향을 미치는 문화 항목을 추출하였다. 그리고 문화 항목의 유형을 세 가지로 나누고 그 유형에 따라 고려해야할 사항을 네 가지로 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to design Korean cultural education syllabus for foreigners. It is quite difficult to achieve language without understand the target language culture. But in many of Korean education classes, cultural education has been composed of a simple explanation. And even more the contents of cultural education are aparted from the needs and culture preference of the learners. This study is significant to inquire about the contents of Korean culture education and designing integrated language-culture education syllabus. To do this classified Korean cultural contents into three type and suggest four principles.
