본고의 연구 목적은 신채호와 그의 텍스트 다시 읽기의 문학적 의미를 시론적 차원에서 논의하는 데 있다. 필자는 본고를 통해 신채호와 그의 텍스트를 한국 근대문학의 또 다른 기원을 해명하는 문제적 개인이자 텍스트라는 점을 밝히고자 한다. 궁극적으로 필자는 본고를 통해 한국 근대문학을 우리들이 어떤 시각에서 바라보고 이해해야 하는가를 밝히고자 한다. 필자는 본고에서 신채호를 한국 근대문학의 장에서 누구보다 열린 근대 주체로 간주하며 논의를 진행하고 있다. 이를 위해 필자는 본고에서 한국에 노블형 소설을 유입하는 데 공이 큰 이광수의 문학적 위상을 신채호의 위상과 비교하는 방식으로 논의를 진행했다. 신채호는 일본이 주도한 식민지 근대에 순응하는 근대의 노예가 되기를 거부할 뿐만 아니라 일체의 구속에 갇히지 않는 열린 근대 주체가 되기를 열망한 존재였다. 여기서 필자는 식민지 근대가 강요하는 정치적 억압만이 아니라 정파적 개념과 사건, 경계를 가로지르는 그의 지적 도정을 주목하고 있다. 역사의 발견으로 요약되는 신채호의 지적 도정은 궁극적으로 한국 근대문학의 또 다른 기원을 열어가는 동력이 되고 있다. 필자는 바로 이 점을 주목하며 신채호 문학 다시 읽기의 의미를 본고에서 논의하고 있다.
The purpose of this study is to discuss the literary meanings of Shin Chae-ho and his text rereading at tentative dimension. This study was to investigate that the Shin Chae-ho and his text was text as well as problematic individual to clarify other origin of Korean modern literature. In the end, this study is to clarify the Korean modern literature how we look at and understand. This researcher conducts the discussion, considering Shin Chae-ho as open modern subject in the field of Korean modern literature. To achieve this, this study was to conduct the discussion in a comparison way of Shin Chae-ho's status with the Yi Kwang-su's literary status who contributed a good deal towards introducing the fiction in the form of novel to Korea. Shin Chae-ho was a human who aspired to become unrestricted open modern subject as well as to refuse to be a modern slave who adapted to the colonial modernity that Japan took lead. In this study, this researcher pays attention to his intellectual path crossing the party concept, case, and boundary as well as the political oppression that the colonial modernity imposes. Shin Chae-ho's intellectual path summarized as discovery of history ultimately becomes power to open other origin of Korean modern literature. To conclude, this researcher pays attention to this point and this study is to discuss the meaning of rereading the Shin Chae-ho's Literature.
