From 1960 to 1995, some novels on classical literature of Japan were published, mainly in English, French, Chinese, such as Ugetsumonogatari, Genjimonogatari, Heikemonogatari…In modern time, the novels like Rashamon and Tetsudoin and some other Japanese novels have been translated and published. Among them (the novels)which have been translated and published, the number of published books from 1960 to 1995 were more than the past, but there have been a lot of mistakes and spelling errors in comparison with the original. However from 2010 up to now, some novels like Nihonreiki, Hyakuninnisshu… have been translated and published in the original in Japanese. Beside the publication and translation the Japanese literature, the study of classical literature has also been developed. In recent years, the Japanese literature has changed into a new stages, the number of literature work has increased very quickly. In education, universities in Japan pay special attention to the teaching of classical literature of Japan as the main subject, and universities are the places where they can train students for the study of classical literature of Japan. However, the translation, publication and the study from the original have still been limited. In the past, there were some general articles referring to the publication, translation and the study of Japanese literature in Vietnam, but the study and the limitation of them have not been well-studied enough, yet by the Vietnamese researchers. Basing on the research results of former researchers and my achieved experiences in the process of translation an the study of Japanese literature, the author of this project will deeply analyse the recent circumstance and the orientation in order to solve some problems appeared for the translation and for the study of Japanese literature in Vietnam. Moreover, the author of this project will also comment on some issues relating to culture and history while translating the work Konjakumonogatar ishu. On surveying from the aspect of language of the work as the Chinese language, the Japanese way of reading Chinese classics (Kanbun kundoku) of the work, the auther contributed to making clearer the role of Kundoku for the translation of Konjakumonogatarihu into Vietnamese. Through this project the author also emphasiger that Konjakumonogatarishu is the only one work which has never abandoned for the study of classical literature of Japan in Vietnam and it also has great significance to the study of Konjakumonogatarishu in the Asean countries as well.
