교육연극의 학습적용 단계는 설정단계→토의단계→발표단계→판단단계다. 설정단계에서는 어떤 주제와 상황으로 학습이 진행될 것인가를 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 ‘무엇을 할 것인가’를 설정한다. 토의단계에서는 초인지영역을 활용하기 위한 준비단계다. 발표단계는 초인지영역이 구체화되는 단계로 외형적 구체물을 만들어 토의의 결과를 확인하게 된다. 판단단계에서는 정해진 주제나 상황과 어떤 관련을 맺는 지 등을 분석 비판한다. 미적 경험은 예술 창조의 경험과 맞물려 정의적 측면을 극대화한다.교육연극을 학습방법으로 사용할 때 마임, 모방, 연극놀이는 중요한 수단이면서 개념이 된다. 마임, 모방, 연극놀이의 관계는 ‘마임→모방→연극놀이’( → :확대방향)와 같이 표시할 수 있다. 교육연극은 수용감각력의 고조를 유지하며 학습장을 긴장과 이완의 반복구조로 유지하며 ‘보는 연극’이 아니라 ‘하는 연극’이라는 점, 토론을 거쳐 무엇인가를 남에게 보여 준다는 점, 그 보여 주는 것이 한 개의 작품이라는 점이 중요하다. 만듦으로 끝나지 않고 그 구체물을 분석 판단함으로써 마무리 짓는데 이런 과정을 통해 교육연극은 감정훈련을 하게 되어 활동중심의 학습방법에서 강조된 인지적 측면에 정의적 측면을 융합하는 균형적 학습방법이 된다.


E·D(Education Drama) is universally applicable to learning. That is establishment stage→discussion stage→expression stage→interpretation stage. And E·D is universally applicable to learning method. That is mime→imitation→dramatic play. Education of the seventh educational course of study needs to be centered on respecting the experience of individual and developing the creativity of the learners. So the study discusses teaching drama using dramatic play as a desirable drama education. And the study suggested problem, surveyed studies concerning drama education and explained study method. As the basis of the utilization of the dramatic play, the study suggested drama preparation by body expression, image formation, internalization, expression and expansion of the cognizance. And on the basis of the characteristics of the dramatic play that are 'all of the learners can participate' and 'act-centered', the study surveyed pantomime, improvisation, doll play and so on with the application of the dramatic play. To analyze how to apply E·D method to magnify imaginative power and esthetical experience which is aimed in literature education.
