Through the term "multiplicity(arrangement)" Deleuze and Guattari try to set up a model of the relationship between the subject and the other. And also they deny Freud's oedipalization through their book "Anti-Oedipus". The desiring-machine of schizophrenics examplifies the deterritorialized flows of desire, the process of life flow leading elsewhere beyond the oedipal codes. Deuleze and Guattari define as the essential reality the process of the production of a desiring-machine. In this article, I looked over the four main character's love, relationships and mode of building a family. Here, I recognized new a style of family and it can be explained with the term "multiplicity" or arrangement as used in Deuleze and Gattari. The four characters from "Island" draw a line of flight and made a new family multiplicity through new ways of producing desire. This is based on rhizome, however this family is neither broken nor abnormal. It is the only one dimension which shows the politics of production in the time of post-modernity. The drama of 'Island" attemts to deterritorialize and to draw a line of flight to displace the oedipalized family to a rhizome style multiplicity. It was shown the conventional meaning of family, desire and modes of thinking. Now, the structure of the labor market has changed and people have become extremely individualized. Family has to be beyond blood ties and marriage. At the same time, we can not explain desire only with the family romance structure. Deleuze and Gattari pointed out the problem of the Freudian family romance which confine everything to the family structure. It is a time to think about the post-modern mode of family through family multiplicity and the nomadic subject by Deuleze and Gattari.
