본고에서는 외국어로서의 한국어 교육을 바르게 이해하고자 했다. 외국어로서의 한국어 교육학은 명실상부하게 학문적 자리를 잡고 국내외에서 그 중요성을 인정받고 있음을 밝혔다. 한국어 교육에서 문법 교육을 소홀히 취급하는 경향이 있는데, 외국어로서의 한국어 교수 학습에서는 문법 교육이 반드시 필요하다. 외국어로서의 한국어 교육을 올바르게 이해하기 위하여, 외국어로서의 한국어 문법 교육의 유용성과 특징 및 연구 현황을 고찰하였다. 또한 한국어 문법 교육의 내용 구성과 교수 학습에서의 활용 방안에 대해서 살폈다. 한국어 문법의 체계를 어떻게 구축할 것인가의 문제는 외국어로서의 한국어 문법 교육의 성패와 밀접하게 관련되어 있다. 한국어 문법 체계의 정립에 있어서 기존의 폐쇄적인 태도를 지양하여, 외국인 학습자가 좀 더 쉽게 이해하고 접근하기 쉽도록 한국어 문법을 새로이 체계화하는 작업이 필요하다고 논하였다.


The aim of this paper is to understand teaching grammar of Korean as a Foreign language rightly. In this, it makes a point that teaching grammar of Korean as a Foreign language has gain academic recognition as a important learning in national and international studies. Generally, some scholars tend to underestimate the teaching grammar in Korean as a foreign language, but it has been very important lately. I analyze the characters of teaching grammar in Korean as a foreign language, and examine the status of studies on that. I also examine the objects, contents, and some problems of teaching grammar in Korean as a foreign language. In addition to my work deals with teaching-leaning schemes and establishment on Korean grammar system. The problem how to establish system of Korean grammar is concerned with results and limits to teaching Korean grammar as a Foreign language. It is necessary for new system of teaching Korean grammar as a foreign language, which is understood easily for Korean grammar by leaners.
