이 글은 서정인의 소설들을 대상으로 하여, 타자의 존재 의미와 서사적 기능을 살펴본 다음, 타자의 서사적 기능에 초점을 둔 서사교육의 내용이 어떻게 구안될 수 있는지를 살펴보았다. 살펴본 결과, 타자의 서사적 기능에 초점을 둔 서사교육의 내용들로는 (1) 특정 인물의 존재론적 욕구 충족은 타자와의 관계 속에서 이루어짐을 안다. (2) 작중인물간의 타자적 관계에 대한 인식이 실제 삶의 현상을 이해하는 데 도움이 됨을 안다. (3) 작중인물간의 타자적 관계에 대한 이해를 실제 삶에 대한 성찰과 연관지을 수 있다. (4) 타자의 서사적 기능에 의해 세계, 타자에 대한 이해를 증진하고, 자신의 삶에 대한 비전을 마련할 수 있다. 등이다. 이러한 서사교육의 내용들은 서사 텍스트 이해에서 가장 중요한 요소가 작중인물이며, 작중인물에 대한 올바른 이해는 특정 인물이 타자와의 관계 속에서 존재론적 욕구를 충족시키는 과정을 올바르게 파악하는 데서 시작된다는 전제를 바탕으로 한 것이다.


This paper examined how are meaning for a being and narrative function of the other, how the content of narrative teaching focused narrative function of the other are established, making Seo Jung In's novels into an object text. As a result of examination, contents of narrative teaching focused reading narrative function of the other are (1) know that sufficiency of ontological desire of the character is formed in the relation with the other. (2) Know that the recognition other-relation between characters helps understanding about phenomenon of the real life. (3) could connect the understanding other-relation between characters to reflecting about real life. (4) Promotes understanding about the world, life by the narrative function of the other, prepare the vision about new self life. These contents of narrative teaching have grounding that the most important element in the understanding of narrative text is the character, the correct understanding about this character is started in the correct comprehension about relation with other character.
