이 글은 7차 교육과정의 정신에 바탕을 두고 10학년을 대상으로 6차시에 해당하는 교재로 구성되었다. 방언은 표준어에 비해 관심의 정도가 상당히 부족하다고 할 수 있다. 방언의 중요성은 말의 혼란이 더욱 가중되고 있는 이 시점에서 비중 있게 다루어야 할 분야로 인식이 된다. 단원의 길잡이에서는 방언의 중요성을 약술하고 표준어에 비해 관심이 부족한 방언의 이해를 활성화해야 한다는 점을 명시하였다. 방언 바로 알기라는 소단원에서는 방언의 개념, 표준어와 방언, 방언의 특성, 지역방언과 사회 방언 등의 항목을 통해 방언에 대한 일반적인 사항들을 알아보았다. 방언의 실제와 잇기에서는 각 방언들의 대표적 특성을 다루었으며, 방언 조사 항목에서는 방언 조사에 필요한 일반적인 면을 다루었고, 문학 작품 속의 방언에서는 각 지방의 방언이 어떻게 쓰였는가를 알아보고, 방언의 긍정적 기능과 계승에서는 계승ㆍ발전에 관한 방향을 제시하였다. 단원의 마무리에서는 확인하기, 보충하기, 심화하기 등을 다루었는데, 확인하기는 바탕글에 대한 이해의 과제를 제시하고, 보충하기에서는 바탕글에서 미처 다루지 못한 과제를 제시하였으며, 심화하기에서는 바탕글을 기본으로 응용하는 단계로 항목에 따라서 다소 힘든 과제도 제시해 보았다.
The purpose of this paper is to compile six-period teaching materials for the tenth grade students on the basis of the Seventh Curriculum. Dialect is less concerned than standard language. But the importance of dialect is emphasized enough, considering the current confusion of language. This paper is composed of four chapters. Chapter 1, the preface to the textbook, summarizes the importance of dialect and clarifies the necessity of dialect comprehension. Chapter 2, which deals with the concept of dialect, standard language and dialect, the characteristics of dialect, local and social dialects, etc., is focused on the general aspects of dialect. Chapter 3 examines the characteristics of Jeolla-do dialect. The last chapter deals with the confirmation, complement, and application of text. This study will help students understand dialect and take pride in their mother tongue.
