거리굿은 동해안별신굿의 마지막 제차에 행하는 굿거리이다. 이 굿거리에서는 이전 굿거리에서 미처 다루지 않았던 잡귀잡신을 불러 풀어먹인다. 거리굿은 남무 1인의 주도 하에 연행하는데, 재담과 놀이, 극적 성격이 농후하다. 이러한 이유로 거리굿의 극적 성격에 대하여 다수의 연구자들이 주목하였다. 본인은 선행연구자와 달리 굿으로서의 거리굿을 주목하였다. 이 글에서는 필사본과 연행본을 통하여 거리굿을 재구하였다. 현재 연행하는 거리굿의 경우 연행단락을 축소․생략하는 경우가 대부분이다. 본인은 기존의 여러 자료를 통합하고 분류하여 거리굿의 전형(典型)을 밝혔다. 거리굿을 대별하면 주무가 귀신을 접대하기 위한 자격을 획득하는 과정과 이후 잡귀잡신을 풀어먹이는 과정, 즉 신직 획득 부분과 귀신 접대 부분으로 구분할 수 있다. 거리굿의 전반부이자 도입부에서 주무는 사장거리․과거거리․여러 귀신 청배 거리․귀신 홀림 거리․관례거리를 통하여 신직을 부여받거나 획득한다. 거리굿의 신직 획득 부분은 다른 지역 거리굿류의 굿에서는 볼 수 없는 것으로 동해안별신굿의 특수성이 드러나는 부분이다. 후반부 귀신 접대 부분에서는 영정부정할매, 골매기수부할매․수부할배, 세존수부, 째보, 봉사, 바다일과 관련되어 죽은 귀신 등을 대접하고, 이에 속하지 않는 모든 잡귀잡신을 육갑으로 풀어먹여 보낸다. 거리굿의 영정부정할매는 부정굿과 골매기수부할매․수부할배거리는 골매기굿, 세존수부거리는 세존굿, 째보거리는 성주굿, 봉사거리는 심청굿, 바다일과 관련되어 죽은 귀신거리는 용왕굿, 손님막둥이거리는 손님굿과 상응하고, 이에 속하지 않는 모든 잡귀잡신은 육갑으로 퇴송하는 것과 상응한다. 거리굿은 동해안별신굿의 순차적 구성과 대비된다. 거리굿은 다른 지역 굿과 구별되는 형식과 특성을 지니고 있다. 또한 거리굿은 무당의 인식이 투영된 중요한 굿거리 중의 하나이다.

God and man are reconciled at the Gut. Man and evil spirits did not receive proper treatment are meet at the Georigut that is directed at the end of the byulsingut. I am reconstructed parts of the performance of the Georigut based on exiting data about the Georigut. The Georigut is divided two section. The one is that the main shaman has the process of gaining qualification to serve the spirits. And the other one is the process of serving the evil spirits by the main shaman. The main shaman can obtain qualification through the Sajanggeori, the Gwageogeori, the Cheongbaegeori, the Hollimgeori, the Gwallyegeori. And then, the main shaman open the spirit door, serve the main spirit, physically disabled spirit, in a shipwreck spirit, died in accident spirit, etc. Finally, the main shaman serve all evil spirit belong anywhere. The part of performance is closely connected with private Gutgeori. A man shaman to perform Georigut attract funny slight and poetry song in the Georigut. In accordance with the basic representation of the situation is properly connected by a man shaman, also they compose the Georigut refer to the contents of the byulsingut order. The structure of the performance of Georigut is closely related with cognizance about Gut system of a shaman.
