The Dummy verb ‘Hada(하다)’ in Korean, ‘Suru(する)’ in Japanese and ‘Zuo(作)’ in Chinese are most frequently used verbs, and they are quite similar in grammar. However, they are not exactly the same. It is the differences mixed in the similarity that makes Korean and Japanese students misread and misuse the verb ‘Zuo’ when they study Chinese. By distinguishing the differences from the similarities between ‘Hada’, ‘Suru’and ‘Zuo’ and working out the regular patterns of usage, the author tries to help Japanese students pay more attention to the differences in order to use the verb correctly.
