Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is one of key information technology to shape doing business. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the organizational characteristics of ERP adoption on successful implementation of ERP systems, including the modreating effects of information systems (IS) maturity. From previous researches on ERP adoption and implementation, 4 ERP adoption characteristics (competitiveness, top management support, process innovation, and project management) and 1 dependent variable (successful implementation of ERP systems), are identified. From data collection processes, 122 samples are collected. The results of hypothesis testing show that top management support and project management have a positive impact to successful implementation of ERP systems in direct effect model. Also, the results of hypothesis testing in moderating effect model show that IS maturity has a positive impact to successful implementation of ERP systems. This result shows that the effect of interaction between project management and IS maturity has moderating impact in ERP implementation success.
