This paper tries to examine the problems of Chinese modernity together with Buddhist way of thinking. The latter in this paper represents the 'mirror image' of modernity ideology. Overall the Buddhist world view will be used as a means to initiating the ipso facto 'postmodern' discourse. The third chapter of this paper will try to show theoretically that pathological syndrome of modern alienation occurs within the structure of our 'conceptual' way of thinking. The main theme of this paper, therefore, can be further discussed from the broader perspective of the philosophy of language and epistemology.
