AB - This article aims to review the relevant historical records that relate to Princess Kang in order to reconsturct her life story and form an understanding of her biography. Princess Kang married Crown Prince Sohyun in 1627 and she performed her duties as the princess of the court. However, due to the invasion of th Qing in 1636, the Crown Prince and Princess were held hostage in Shenyang for 8 years. In the official residence of Shenyang, Princess Kang gave birth to six children and carried our her duties as a Princess to help the Crown Pricne.
