The vocabulary about the meal sense varies, and the expression that is rich in Onomatopoeia exists when I think from the side called “the taste expression”. Particularly, there were many things which I was concerned with the five senses of “taste, sense of smell, the sense of touch, sight, the hearing”, and appeared, but contrast considered sight Onomatopoeia of Japanese and Korean in this study in that. At first I divided sight into “movement”, “cooking”, and made each subdivision. “The movement” divided it into a “state” state “state to chew” to drink “to eat”, but the Onomatopoeia that Korean varied than Japanese more generally was collected. About “the cooking,” I divided it into a “state” state “state” state to run “to cut” to bake “to boil”, but Japanese and Korean appeared at the about the same ratio. Difference in cooking person and how to eat food in the Japan-Korea two countries influences it in that, and a point appearing in the expression that is different in the Onomatopoeia is an interesting result. In addition, I may be derived from a concrete meaning to express movement in an invisible abstract concept when I look at the derivation aspect of the meaning and may be derived from a meaning to express a state to eat for a meaning to express other states. When Onomatopoeia is an abundant language, Japanese and Korean are known, but there is the part that a semantic characteristic and expression method are different if a use aspect of the Onomatopoeia in both Japan-Korea languages is not same, and there is the expression resembling. In addition, I was able to confirm that I left from a meaning to express sight, and the aspect to be derived appeared for various meanings by various patterns. It is thought that such a result has to compare it with not only the verbal side but also the cultural side. The study on “sense of smell, hearing” of the meal sense wants to make problem in the future.
