According to the Doctrine of Islam, the Qur’ān is eternal: It is the uncreated Word of God. More popularly and concretely the original of the Qur’ān is a book preserved in the seventh heaven in the presence of God. This is what is meant by the preserved tablet ‘Al-Lawh al-Mahfūs’, So muslim scholars refer to it as the mother of the Book ‘Umm al-Kitāb’, which is regarded as the original of all holy scriptures. In christianity one can say ‘The word has been made flesh’, God’s Word and Wisdom has ‘incarnated’ itself in a humanbeing, Jesus Christ. However, in Islam one can not say this sort of thing about the Prophet Muhammad, and no Muslim has. Here, rather, God’s Word became a book. In this contexts, scholars have observed, that in relation to Christianity, the place of the Qur‘ān may be compared with Christ. As Christians view their revelation as both fullfilling and completing the revelation of the Old Testament, Muslims believe that the Prophet Muhammad received final revelations from God to correct human error that made its way into the scriptures and belief systems of Judaism and Christianity. Therefore, Muslims believe that Islam is not a new religion with a new scripture, rather, is the last and completed religion with a composite version of God’s revelations. For muslim the Qur’ān is not as only ‘inspired’ by God but ‘revealed’ by God and therefore directly the Word of God ‘Kalimat Allah’
