부모 양육태도에 따른 아이들의 발달 양태에 대한 다양한 의견들이 보고되고 있다. 이 가운데 어머니의 양육태도 또는 양육행동이 특화되어 보고되는 경우는 양육과정에서 맺어지는 어머니와 아이의 1차적 관계가 아이의 건강한 성장 발달에 가장 중요한 의미를 가지기 때문이다. 여기서는 이 과정을 ‘어머니의 욕망’과 ‘주체의 상징화’라는 두 개의 바퀴로 풀어보고 있다. 특히 어머니 욕망의 발현 양태를 부모양육태도의 4가지 기준 중 권위형을 제외한, 독재형 어머니, 허용형 어머니, 방임형 어머니의 양육태도와 이것이 자녀의 주체화형성 과정에 어떻게 관여하고 기능하는지를 살피는데 글의 목적을 두었다. 특히 라깡이 제시했던 도식들 중 오브제 a 와 타자와의 관계 모형을 비틀어 각각의 양육태도에서 이것들이 어떻게 다른 모습으로 나타나는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과, ‘독재형 어머니’가 어떻게 주체인 아들의 욕망을 삼켜버리는지, 또 어머니 입장에서 타자인 아들의 욕망은 왜 단지 ‘희미한 선’으로만 ‘짐작되는지’ 그리고, 그 속에서 ‘아들-주체’의 상징화는 어떤 모습을 보이는지 알게 되었다. 또, ‘허용형’과 ‘방임형 어머니’ 역시 ‘아들-타자’와의 관계에서 자신들의 욕망을 어떤 방식으로 현현(顯現)하며 ‘아들-타자’는 그 관계 속에서 자신의 주체화와 상징화를 어떻게 형성하고 있는지를 짚어 보았다. 연구를 위해 사용된 텍스트는 소설 『사라진 소녀들』, 그래픽 노블 『바늘땀』, 영화와 소설로 나온 『고백』으로 한다.
There are many different studies and theories regarding the influence of parentingstyles on child development. But most theories emphasize a maternal parenting style or behavior and pay attention to the mother-child interaction. They explain thatmaternal bond is the most important factor for the growth and development of children and that it has some special meaning as to what the mother-child should be, how to make the first interaction and what maternal influence would do for her child’s sound development. Generally speaking, parenting styles areclassified into four categories: ‘authoritarian parenting styles’, ‘authoritative parenting styles’, ‘permissive parenting styles’and ‘uninvolved parenting styles’. The purpose of this study is to propose areasonable explanation of the influence of those maternal parenting styles except forthe ‘authoritative parenting styles’ on the development of children, especially drawing attention to the ‘desire of mother’ and the ‘symbolization of a subject’. It was identified how ‘authoritarian’ mother assume the ‘son-Other’ as her own, how desire of‘Permissive’ or ‘Uninvolved’ mother is manifested, and how the ‘son-Other’symbolizes himself or do not in the process. This study was made with reference tosome literary texts and screen media. The novel Blinder instinkt, The graphic novelStitches. A Memoir and Movie, novel Confession were referred to in this study.
