This study examined the effect of family support to patients with Tuberculosis on quality of life, as well as the mediating effect of depression between family support and quality of life. The questionnaire research survey was used for patients with TB as the subject in a general hospital in M city in Kyungnam area. The results of structural equation modeling(SEM) indicated that depression mediated between family support and quality of life of the patients with TB. This study presents implications for the treatment and prevention of patients with TB's depression and it shows that later it needs to be done the study to set up other mediator than depression from various view and verify its effect as well. Practical intervention policies to enhance family support, the limitations of this study and suggestions for further study are also discussed.
