본고는 김종삼의 시에 나타난 현대미술의 영향, 특히 ‘후기인상파’와 ‘추상미술’에 의한 영향을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 김종삼은 ‘후기인상파’와 ‘추상미술’을 수용함으로써 매우 개성적이면서도 난해한 시 세계를 펼쳐보여 주었다. 특히 그는 ‘후기인상파’를 위시로 한 ‘인상파’에서 중시되었던 ‘잔상 효과’와, ‘앵포르멜’과 관련된 ‘추상미술’에서 중시되었던 ‘물질의 정신성’을 활용하여 사물과 인간의 새로운 면모를 포착해 내려고 애를 썼다. 그러므로 우리는 김종삼의 이러한 미학적 실천을 정당하게 평가해 주어야 한다.
This Study aims to elucidate the Influences of Contemporary Arts, especially, the Post-Impression School & Abstract Paintings on Kim Jong-Sam's Poems. Under the Influences of Post-Impression School & Abstract Paintings, Kim Jong-Sam had written poems which are very individual and hard to understand. Above all, he had endeavored to grasp the new aspects of things & himself, by putting the afterimage effects taken a serious view of by the post-Impression School and the spirituality of materials taken a serious view of by the Abstract Paintings to practical use. Therefore, We have to estimate Kim Jong-Sam's aesthetic practices very highly.
