This paper aimed at examining Korean learners' grammar acquisition focusing on the conjunctive suffixes ‘-go' and ‘-eoseo'. As such, we examined 82 advanced-low to mid-intermediate written texts over a two year period. One hundred seventeen errors out of a total of 1,179 conjunctive suffixes were investigated. We found a total of 43 errors regarding the use of ‘-go' and among them, replacement errors from the use of ‘-eoseo' occurred 23 times, representing the largest proportion of errors. Errors regarding the use of ‘- eoseo' numbered 25, of which only three replacement errors resulting from the use of ‘-go' occurred. The error rates regarding the use of ‘-go' (36.75%) and ‘-eoseo' (21.37%) were found to occupy the largest proportion (i.e., 58.12%) of replacement errors. The phenomena of replacement errors involving ‘-go' and ‘-eoseo'could be explained by the semantic relationship of conjunctive clauses such as ‘list', ‘related sequence', and ‘cause'. In this study,weconsidered aspects of subsequent acquisition of ‘-go' to ‘-eoseo' and focused on the educational implications of these conjunctive suffixes with respect to markedness, condition of grammar use, and error cause analysis.
