A Study on the Quality of Life for Police Oficer in KoreaHuh, Kyung-MiChoi, Key MoonThe dangerous job stress of police work may result in depression. that is highly correlated with work disability and poor quality of life. we investigated the quality of life, the probability of depression and the related risk factors for police officer in korea. and so, this research direction is concerned with the design and application of quality of life indices, which attempt to represents police officer`s welfare generally or with regard to some particular aspect or domain of their life.A popular way of classifying quality of life for police officer is by reported survey process. This used the 8-item to access the quality of life for 217 police officer in korea. the 8-item: commutation satisfaction feeling, occupation satisfaction feeling, duty and organization satisfaction feeling, life of organization satisfaction feeling, health satisfaction feeling, economy satisfaction feeling, leisure satisfaction feeling, attachment to home satisfaction feeling.This 8-item is based on the Maslow`s famous theory of hierarchy of needs and Bung sup-kim`s survey tool. Maslow supposed about hierarchy of needs Beyond the details of air, water, food, and sex, he laid out five broader layers: the physiological needs, the needs for safety and security, the needs for love and belonging, the needs for esteem, and the need to actualize the self, in that order. the result of analysis: attachment to home satisfaction feeling is most high in every scope. and next, commutation satisfaction feeling, occupation satisfaction feeling, health satisfaction feeling, economy satisfaction feeling, leisure satisfaction feeling. the duty and organization satisfaction feeling is most low scope. decision making problem and shortage of hobby convenient institution are major dissatisfaction factor. 46 韓國公安行政學會報 - 第24號(2006)
