이 연구는 학교시설이 학교교육의 목적과 목표 달성을 위한 교육적 기능을 어느 정도 발휘하고 있는 지를 진단하는 도구를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구방법은 문헌연구와 현장교사의 의견수렴, 전문가협의회 등이 적용되었다. 연구결과 6개 진단영역(기능성, 지원성, 심미성, 자원성, 건강성, 안전성), 12개 진단요소(접근성, 공간성, 활용도, 자원의 구비⋅설비⋅활용, 미학성, 외관성, 시설⋅설비의 상태, 실내환경 위생, 실내 설비정비, 사고대책, 노후화대책, 방범대책), 120개 진단지표로 학교시설 진단도구를 구성하여 제시하였다.


The purpose of this study was to develop the School Environments Quality Index of School Facilities for measuring the educational effects of school facilities. This study used the research methods such as related literature review, various views collected from teachers and consultations with professionals. In order to measure the design quality of schools as seen in the case of DQI in the United Kingdom, as a result of the study, the School Environments Quality Index of School Facilities including 6 domains(functionality, supportiveness, aesthetics, resources, healthy, safety), 12 elements(accessibility, spatiality, utilization, equipment and utilization of resources, beauties, appearance, conditions of facility, hygiene, maintenance, accident countermeasure, deterioration countermeasure, crime prevention countermeasure) and 120 items was proposed.
