이 연구에서는 보치아 운동 훈련이 뇌성마비 초등학생의 상지기능에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 뇌성마비 초등학생들로 남자 2명, 여자 1명이고 장애 유형은 경련성 2명, 무정위 유형 1명이다. 연령범위는 8.5세~10세이다.이 연구는 주 4회 매회 40분씩 8주간 보치아 운동 프로그램을 실시하였다. 기능검사와 뇌성마비아 기능 훈련을 재구성하여 사전사후의 검사 결과를 평균과 백분율로 알아보았으며 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.첫째, 보치아 운동 훈련을 적용하여 상지 수행의 파지 기능, 도달 기능, 굴리기 기능, 던져 넣기 기능, 목표물 맞추기 기능이 훈련전보다 훈련 후에 통계학적으로 유의하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 보치아 운동 훈련의 각 대상 초등학생별로 살펴보면 파지 기능은 실험 대상자 모두 사전사후 검사결과 변화를 보였으며 도달 기능에서는 실험 대상자중 1명이 20.0%의 향상을 보였고 2명은 13.3%의 향상을 보였다. 셋째, 목표물 맞추기 기능에서는 실험 대상자 중 1명이 33.4%로 가장 큰 향상을 보였다. 보치아 운동 훈련은 파지 기능의 향상으로 물체를 잡는 힘, 물체를 들어 올리는 힘 등이 향상하였고 목표물 맞추기 기능에서는 눈과 손의 협응능력, 힘의 강약 조절 능력 등 운동기능 향상에 효과적으로 나타났다.


The purpose of this study was to find the effects of Boccia exercise on the functional movement of upper extremities for the elementary school children with cerebral palsy. The subjects were three children age between 8.5 to 10 years old who were diagnosed with cerebral palsy and can possibly communicate and do the self care. The Boccia exercises were performed four times a week for eight weeks. The measurements were taken before the exercise program started and after the eight weeks' program completed. The results of this study were as follows: The hand function, reaching, rolling the objects, throwing, and targeting of the upper extremities' movements were improved significantly after the Boccia exercise. For the hand functional movement one subjects showed 20.0% improvement, and the other two subjects showed 13.3%.. The rolling and throwing showed 20.2% for one subject and 11.6% for the other two subjects. However, the targeting showed 33.4% for one subject. Therefore, the results of upper extremities functional movement's improvement can Boccia exercise program is effective to improve the upper extremities functional movements, balance, and learning abilities in the class.
