본 연구에서는 초등학교 특수학급 여교사들의 직무경험을 질적 연구방법 중의 하나인 근거이론 접근법에 따라 분석하였다. 본 연구의 참여자들은 경남의 일반 초등학교 특수학급에서 근무하는 특수학급 여교사 5명이었다. 연구 참여자들은 교사 경력 6년 이상에서 14년이었으며, 연령은 30세-38세 범위였다. 연구대상과의 심층면담을 통하여 자료를 수집한 뒤 면담 내용을 모두 전사하고 개방적 표본추출 방식에 따라 가능한 다양한 개념과 범주를 찾는 데 주력하였다. 연구결과 초등학교 특수학급 여교사의 직무와 관련된 모든 경험이 중심현상인 “무력감”을 중심축으로 전개되는 것으로 나타났다. 결과 분석을 통해 중심현상에 영향을 미치는 인과적 관계, 맥락, 중재상황, 전략과 그에 따른 결과를 밝히고, 초등학교 특수학급 여교사의 직무경험에 대한 이해와 의미에 대해 논의하였다.


The purpose of this study was to examine what kind of core phenomenon appeared in the work experience of female teachers in the special class of elementary school. The participants in this study were five female teachers have work experiences in the special education more than 6 years. In-depth interview was conducted and their interview data were transcribed. Those data were analyzed by the grounded theory of Strauss and Corbin. The findings were as follows:First, the data were analyzed into 220 concepts, 38 subcategories and 13 categories. Second, the core phenomenon they have felt during their work experience was "helplessness". The casual condition affecting to the helplessness were "identity confusion". As, contexts As, contexts "disability degree of students", "inferiority complex " and "attitude of the around people and surroundings" had an effect on the core phenomenon. "personality", "thinking tendency" and "capabilities of teachers" made an influence on their coping with the core phenomenon as intervention strategies. They responded to the core phenomenon by using "induction of collaborative relationships among general students, students with disabilities, parents, administrator, teachers in the inclusion class", "self-development", "resignation". And they resulted in "sense of accomplishment" or "ambivalence". Third, when a paradigm model was applied, elementary special class female teachers were classified into four types according to degree of the core phenomenon("helplessness"), disability degree of students, inferiority complex and attitude of the around people and surroundings, personality, thinking tendency and capabilities of teachers.
