The Goryeo(高麗) and the Ming(明) establish diplomatic relations. But diplomatic relations between two countries was nearly broken several times. Immediately two countries dispatched an envoys and revived relations. The Goryeo retainer had a ceremony when greet a envoy from Ming. The content is written on the 『History of the Goryeo Dynasty(高麗史)』 with 『Whang Hwa Jip(anthology：皇華集)』 with 『Tong Mun Guan(record：通文館志)』. I weighed them and could discover the difference in some part. It was changed according to the change of diplomatic situation and period. The Ming envoys requested the poetry of Goryeo retainers. But the answer of Goryeo retainers about the request of Ming envoys was changed according to the people and the situation. As previously stated, We can know the Goryeo retainers not to take the cream diplomacy against the high-handed diplomacy of Ming.
