아시아 지역의 물류 허브국가인 우리나라는 물류의 중요성에 비하여 물류의 평가가 잘 이루어지지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이는 물류의 효과성을 분석할 기업물류비의 자료수집이 어려울 뿐만 아니라 물류비의 기밀성으로 인하여 가공된 자료로 한정되기 때문에 적절한 분석을 하지 못하고, 분석결과에 대한 비교기준도 없어 정부의 물류정책이나 기업의 물류전략 수립에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있는 것이 현실이다. 기업물류비는 매출액, 물동량 등에 의해서 많은 영향을 받고 있으므로, 기존에 발표된 업종별과 매출액 규모별 뿐만 아니라 업종별 매출액 규모별 기업물류비 관리현황도 차이가 있을 것으로 보아 업종별 매출액 규모별 기업물류비 관리실태를 분석한 결과, 첫째, 기업물류비의 증가원인으로는 전체의 응답결과와 유사하지만, 일부 업종별과 업종별 매출액 규모별 증가원인에서 작지만 차이가 나는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 감소원인을 응답한 기업은 상대적으로 적었지만, 업종별과 업종별 매출액 규모별로 큰 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 절감방안은 운송분야에 치중되어 있으나, 관리분야와 포장분야도 상대적으로 매우 높게 나타났고, 업종별 매출액 규모별에 따른 절감방안이 상대적으로 적지 않은 차이를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 자사의 기업물류비 관리현황을 파악하기 위해서는 발표된 전체 기업의 응답결과와 업종별 응답결과 그리고 매출액 규모별 응답결과를 살펴보아야 함은 물론이고 업종별 매출액 규모별 응답결과도 반드시 고려하여야 자사에 적합한 물류의사결정이 실현될 수 있을 것이다
Korea has a reputation as the hub country of logistics in Asia region. In spite of the importance of logistics, little analysis has been carried out on the effectiveness of logistics system, mainly due to the lack of data on accessible corporate logistics costs. This study used data on the management condition of corporate logistics costs in Korea firms, published by the Korea International Trade Association. We identified that the management condition of corporate logistics costs is affected by industry types as well as sales amounts. Hence, we examined the management condition of corporate logistics costs across industry types' sales amounts, and the results are summarized as follows. First, the sources of increasing logistics costs vary with industry types and industry types' sales amounts compared with total corporate logistics costs. Hence, it is necessary to examine the sources of increasing logistics costs based on industry types separately. Second, a small number of firms replied that logistics costs decreased while the logistics costs were generally expected to increase. However, the sources of decreasing logistics costs show a great difference based on industry types and industry types' sales amounts. Third, many firms mainly focused on the transportation sector rather than storage sector to decrease logistics costs. Both management and packing sectors are also considered as important sectors to reduce logistics costs. However, the above replies vary with industry types and industry types' sales amounts. Finally, based on the survey data, it is found that the management condition of corporate logistics costs in Korea firms is different across industry types and industry types' sales amounts. Therefore, the results imply that it is desirable to analyze the corporate logistics costs incorporating each firm’s logistics condition and sales amounts.
