This article analyses the grammmaticalization of `-kes-`. I focus on the process of morphological changes by investigating on the changes of distribution and of frequency that are represented in Korean written data from 17th century to 19th century. The morphological changes of the grammaticalization of `-kes-` are represented as `-ke hayeos-/-ke hayeosi->-keyeos-/-keyeosi->-kes-/-kesi->-kes-`. `-Keyeos-/-keyeosi-` appeared in 18th century for the first time and `-kes-/-kesi-` appeared in 19th century for the first time. Each morph in the steps of grammaticalization of `-kes-` extended not only to its distribution by the time period but also to its distribution by morphological changes. And the frequency also changed.
