This study is to clarify how to educate the place deictic needed to Korean language education. The deictic expression can be translated into two meanings, that is, both deictic expression and non-deictic expression, or only deictic one according background lexemes with yardsticks of methodologies of interpretation on place deictic discussed to pragmatics. The suggestions are as below. The ambiguity of deictic expression occurs if the direction in which the background lexemes are in accord with deictic expression, but if not, only the deictic expression occurs related to background the direction words such as Up, Down, Front, Back, Rightside, and Leftside.
