This paper investigates the expanded meaning of the Russian word “глаз” (eye) in the sense of space. Humans understand the world phenomena through the space and it is perceived from the senses of the body. Through metaphors and metonyms the meaning of Body Word become diverse. Common use of these words and expressions settles it into idiomatic words and expressions. This paper analyses space metaphor into two schemes, moving scheme and container scheme. The study shows that in the moving concept humans perceive the eyes as the starting point, ending point, the object that requires movement. In the container concept it recognizes human, abstract, inanimate objects as contents in a container.
