소화에는 골계를 발생시키는 데 있어서 중요한 역할을 하는 세 사람의 인물이 등장하는 화형이 보인다. 이러한 세 사람 화형 소화는 중국에서 발생하여 일본과 조선에 각각 전파되었으며 골계의 방법적 요소로서 발전하였다고 보여 진다. 동 화형의 전개 양상을 살펴보면, 실제 등장인물은 세 명이 넘으면서 때로는 1사람이, 때로는 3사람이 골계발생에 중심적 역할을 하는 1대 3 패턴의 세 사람 화형이 일찍이 발달하였고, 이 화형은 중국에서 이미 1대 1 패턴의 이야기와 상호 호환되며 진화하여 왔음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 에도소화에서 이 두 가지 패턴의 이야기가 동시에 보일 경우, 우리는 그러한 분화가 중국에서 이미 일어났을 가능성을 염두에 두어야 할 것이다. 또한, 1대 3 패턴과 1대 1 패턴, 그리고 세 사람 화형과 네 사람 화형 소화 사이에서는 어느 일 방향이 아닌 양 방향의 상호 호환이 그 전승과정에서 빈번하게 일어나고 있었음을 알 수 있다. ‘살 붙이기(1대 1 패턴→1대 3 패턴/세 사람 화형→네 사람 화형)’ 와 그 반대의 ‘간략화(1대 3 패턴→1대 1 패턴/ 네 사람 화형→세 사람 화형)’현상이 바로 그렇다. 그리고 이것은 화형의 진화과정에서 1사람에서 2사람으로, 2사람에서 3사람으로의 ‘살 붙이기’ 가 보편적일 것이라는 우리의 일반적인 상식에 반하는 사실이다. 본고에서는 4사람에서 3사람으로, 또는 3사람에서 1사람으로, 골계의 발생에 있어서 중요한 역할을 하는 인물의 수가 줄어드는 간략화 현상이 에도소화를 비롯한 동아시아 소화에서도 발생하고 있었음을 고찰, 세 사람 화형 소화의 전개양상을 두 가지 측면에서 분석해 보았다.

There are three types of people in Japanese Edo hanashi-bon and East Asian comedic stories. This type has three patterns and three people who play an important role in producing ludicrousness. It seems that these types occur in Chinese traditional comedic stories and have had a great influence on the comedic stories of each East Asian countries including Japan and Korea. When looking at the state of the evolution of this type of the story, the type - people 1 to 3 pattern that have three ludicrous elements, it was already developed with the type of people 1 to 1 pattern. In addition, I have found that between the type of people 1 to 3 pattern and 1 to 1 pattern are mutually compatible. And the same thing occurs between 3 people type and 4 people type. In particular, it is noticeable that this has been always up in this story-shaped evolution process, i.e. 4 people decreased to 3 people, or 3 people decreased to 1 people. And this phenomenon is reverse that general increasing pattern from 2 people to 3 people or 1 people to 2 people in the evolution process of the story type. This paper can say that the simplification of the phenomenon occurred in Chinese comedic stories, and its influence on the East Asian comedic stories including Japanese Edo hanashi-bon. The result of this study that classified the development aspects of the 3 people type on comedic stories for the first time.
