현대 정보사회에서의 유아들은 다양한 전자 매체에 노출되어 ICT가 생활의 일부가 되는 환경 속 에서 자라나고 있다. 유아들이 정보사회에서의 생활에 적응하고, 현명하게 대처할 수 있으려면, 건전한 ICT의 활용을 위한 제반 여건이 갖추어지도록 어른들과 사회의 관심과 노력이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 유아의 ICT 활용을 활성화시키기 위한 환경구축에 필요한 요인들을 문헌을 통 해 추출하고, 추출된 각 요인들에 대해 유아들의 교육을 담당하는 교사들이 인식하는 중요도와 실 행도를 조사하여 이들 간의 격차를 규명하고, 이러한 격차를 줄일 수 있는 ICT 활용전략과 지원방 안을 모색하는데 있다. 구체적으로 유아교육기관에 근무하는 206명의 교사들을 대상으로 유아의 ICT 활용환경에 대한 인식을 설문조사하였다. 설문은 유아의 자질, 교사의 자질, 부모의 자질, 행 정적 지원, 사회적 지원, 물리적 환경 등으로 구성된 ‘유아 ICT 활용환경 평가척도’를 사용하여 6개 요인과 27개의 하위 항목에서의 중요도-실행도 간의 격차를 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 중요도-실행 도 분석(IPA)을 통해 시급한 지원이 필요한 요인을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 6개 요인 중 행정적 지원이 가장 시급한 요인으로 도출되었다. 유아 ICT 활용환경구 축을 위해서는 교사, 부모의 자질과 노력 등 개인적인 자원의 지원도 중요하지만 국가와 사회로부 터의 법적, 제도적, 재정적 지원이 절실히 요구되고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The researchers reviewed the literature looking at activating factors in an ICT setting such as young children, physical environment, parents, administrative system, and teachers. As a result of Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) matrix participating with 206 teachers, it was noted that the governmental and administrative support-related field is the most crucial in activating ICT based educational environment at the early childhood education.
