본 연구는 직업 선택 시 고려되어 지는 직업가치관과 진로성숙도가 마이스터고와 특성화고 학생들 간에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보고, 이를 통해 직업전문교육기관으로 특성화고 학생들을 위한 효율적인 진로지도 방법을 고찰해 보았다. 연구 결과 첫째, 마이스터고 학생들의 진학 동기는 취업, 적성, 부모님의 권유 등의 순으로 높은 동기를 보였으나, 특성화고 학생들은 취업, 대학진학, 성적순으로 진학 동기가 높았다. 특성화고 학생들의 대학진학에 대한 계획과 이를 위한 특성화고로의 진학 동기가 여전히 남아 있기는 하지만, 취업으로 변화되는 경향성을 보이는 것 같아 매우 고무적인 결과로 시사되었다. 둘째, 마이스터고 학생들은 내․외적 직업가치관 중 외적 직업가치관인 발전성에 가장 가치를 두고 있었으나 반면 특성화고 학생들은 내적 직업가치관인 자율성에 가장 높은 가치를 두고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로성숙도면에서는 마이스터고 학생들이 특성화고 학생들보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 진로성숙도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이에 특성화 고등학교 학생들의 정보 활용 능력을 높여 줄 필요가 있으며, 전공 관련 직업에 대한 구체적인 정보 제공과 사전 직업 체험의 기회가 주어져야 할 것으로 분석되었다.
This study examines the differences in occupational values and course maturity between Meister high school students and specialized high school students; thereby, it has considered an efficient method of career guidance for specialized high school students as a goal of vocational education and training institutions. First, the entering motivation of Meister high school students is highly by ranking on employment, aptitude, and parental suggestion; while the entering motivation of specialized high school students is highly placed on employment, university entrance, and middle school grades. Although the specialized high school students who have the plan for entering university and the motivation for going to specialized high school have still remained, a change tendency in employment seems to be a very encouraging. Second, Meister high school students seem to put most value on the possibility of future growth from external occupational values among internal-external vocational values; whereas specialized high school students tend to set the highest value on the autonomy of their internal occupational values. Third, career maturity rate of Meister high school students is significantally higher than specialized high school students. It is suggested, therefore, that there is a necessity to increase the utilization ability of information for specialized high school students and provide opportunities for pre-job experience and specific job information related to the students' majors.
