이 글은 통감부 시기 간행된『보통학교 학도용 국어독본』을 대상으로 일제의 식민화 전략 양상을 살피고, 이를 통해 일제가 공교육이라는 이름으로 내세운 교육정책의 성격을 고찰한 것이다. 권력이 침투해 들어가는 경로의 추적에서 발견되는 전략성, 즉 권력의 전략 고찰을 주목적으로 하였다. 일제는 한일병합 이전, 즉 통감부 시기 이미 조선 사회 전반 걸쳐 모든 것을 장악하였다. 이 점을 염두에 두고 이 글은 통감부 시기 일제가 공교육이라고 내세운 교육정책의 성격은 물론 교과서를 매개로 한 권력의 작동방식을 탐구하였다. 결국 연구 과정에서 발견한 것은 권력이 만들어낸 훈육 방식이 명백하다는 것이다. 권력의 메커니즘 속에서 수동적이고 훈육적 주체를 만들기 위해 비사고와 동화와 일선동조론으로 조선의 아동을 일본화 하려는데『국어독본』을 적극 활용하였다. 이런 점에서 대한제국 마지막 학부 편찬의『국어독본』은 시대의 환난을 내재한 텍스트라 할 수 있다.
This treatise is written to review the aspect for the Japanese Colonization in which was shown in the Korean Language Leaders for the Elementary School published at the time of Japanese Superintendent quarter and to study the characteristic of education policy set up under the name of public education by means of this text. It aims to consider the strategy which we can find on the way to track how the power spread itself, and so to speak, to study the strategy of the authority concerned. The Japanese Imperialism grasped firmly everything of Korean (Chosun's) community during the period of Japanese Government of Korea before Japanese annexation with Korea. delete Considering this point, it is to study the education policy known as public education by Japanese Imperialists. Of course this is to reveal the way delete how to operate their power to Korean people(Chosunin) by using the textbooks during Japanese superintendent Quarter's era. Anyway, It was found through this study that their training way was clearly based on delete power. They had a positive position to use The Korean Language Leaders in order to make Korean children "Japanized" by the abnormal thought and assimilation, and the theory of alignment of Japanese with Korean (Chosunin) which was aimed to train Korean Children to be negative(passive) and the object to be trained. Therefore, The Korean Language Leaders published by the last editorial office of Korea Empire is considered to be textbook to show the hardships as much as the darkness of that era.
