이 연구는 브라질 북동부 마라냐웅주를 기원으로 형성된 무형문화재‘Tambor de Crioula’를 현지조사와 문헌조사를 바탕으로 진행되었다. 인간이 중심이 되어 일상에서 일어나는 행위를 ‘문화행위’라고 볼 때, 이 행위는사회를 점진적으로 변화시킬 수 있는 ‘사회적 실천’에 해당된다. ‘Tambor de Crioula’는 브라질의 역사-사회-이데올로기적 조건 속에서 발현된 소수자의집단정체성을 보존하고자 한 문화행위에 해당된다. 이런 소수자 문화가 일상에서 그리고 일상의 단절이라는 축제의 참여와 확산을 통해 주류 사회의 주목을 받고 새로운 사회 변화의 방향성과 지향점을 제시할 수 있다는 점에서 그 의미를 찾아볼 수 있다.
This is a field and bibliographic study which has the objective of investigating the ‘Tambor de Crioula’ in Maranhão as a representative of hybrid cultural form. Due to the change of historical-social-ideological perspective, the modern brazilian society had to recognize the assets of reference array of the African descent. In this universe, this study proposes a reflection on how ‘Tambor de Crioula’ as an Intangible cultural heritage has become one of interesting subjects, seeking to identify the conflicts and possibilities in the recognition of brazilian national identity.
