Tiger was accepted as a culture in Japan. So the tiger itself has a cross-cultural factors in Japan. Japanese people used many method to describe tiger. However, especially painting laid long lasting impact on future generation which can be seen as conservative. Since the tiger did not live in Japan, Tiger hunting was carried out on the Korean peninsula. The first tiger hunter was Hasuhi(巴提便). He traced a tiger's footprint on a snow-covered day and killed the tiger he traced and took the leather of the tiger back to japan. In an Article of “Nihonshoki(日本書紀)” ,which was recorded in 545 years of march, the article specificly describes method of killing tiger. As described in article, a hunter should grab the tiger's tongue when the tiger opens it's mouth and stab them with a knife. A similar story is also described in tale of 13th century, but it indicates that a hunter should hit the tiger with a knife when the tiger tries to pounce towards the hunter. a different way of killing an tiger. Even thought the same stories have passed down it has changed more rationally such as changing the place or methods of killing a tiger. Tiger hunting is variously described in the age of edo, Due to the Japanese invasions in 1592 of Korea, many samurai's have experienced tiger hunting and does become recorded on the history. However, even if tiger hunting stories were passed down in japan, drawing scene of killing tiger is totally different. They can't hear it directly from tiger hunters, because they draw it after hundreds of years have past. As a result they would have referred to the tiger hunting pictures in Shu Hu Zhuan.
