『壽進寶酌記』는 고종2년(1865) 당시 대원군 중심의 새로운 권력 구도를 정립하고자 했던 정치적 일면을 살필 수 있는 중요한 자료이다. 이에 본고에서는 『壽進寶酌記』 내용을 분석하고, 이를 통해 『壽進寶酌記』 제작의 목적을 살펴보았다. 『壽進寶酌記』는 高宗2년(1865) 4월 石瓊樓 아래에서 銅器가 출토된 기념으로 제작된 銘帖이다. 『壽進寶酌記』는 주로 고종과 대원군을 칭송하고 태평성대를 예언하는 내용으로 구성되어 있다. 『壽進寶酌記』에서는 고종의 私親으로서의 대원군 존재의 부각시키고, 왕이 孝를 행하는 대상으로서 대원군을 강조하고, 인품과 실력을 두루 갖춘 완벽한 지도자로서의 대원군의 면모를 드러내고 있다. 壽進寶酌이 발견된 시점은 경복궁 중건에 대한 傳敎가 내려진 시기로, 경복궁 중건 계획에 대한 찬반양론이 맞서던 시점이었다. 경복궁 중건은 왕위 계승의 명분을 강화하고, 대원군의 정치적 기반을 마련하는 두 가지 목적을 달성할 수 있는 것이었다. 경복궁 중건 사업은 대원군에게는 정치권을 장악하고 권력을 행사할 수 있는 공식적 발판이었기에 그는 이를 반드시 관철시켜야 했다. 이러한 시기에 壽進寶酌이 출토되고, 『壽進寶酌記』의 제작과 賜給까지 발 빠르게 이루어진 것이다. 『壽進寶酌記』는 경복궁 중건을 정당화하고자 한 고종과 대원군의 의도가 강하게 내포된 것이다. 즉, 『壽進寶酌記』는 고종의 왕위 계승을 정당화하고 대원군의 정치적 위상을 높이기 위한 장치로 볼 수 있다.
『Sujinbojak-gi』 is a precious document that describes a political aspect that new power structure focusing on Daewongun was established in the second year of Emperor Gojong (1865). In this thesis, the contents of 『Sujinbojak-gi』 are analyzed and, based on that, the purpose of 『Sujinbojak-gi』 is examined. 『Sujinbojak-gi』 is a name mark that celebrates to excavate a bronze ware under Sukgyung-ru in April, the second year of Emperor Gojong (1865). 『Sujinbojak-gi』 praises mainly Emperor Gojong and Daewongun and predicts a peaceful reign. It brings out the figure of Daewongun as a relative and emphasizes on Daewongun as an object that the king filial devotes, and appeals the aspect of Daewongun as a perfect leader with dignity and ability. As the time that Sujinbojak was found is the period that the king had proclaimed to rebuild Gyeongbokgung, there were many pros and cons presented concerning for rebuilding Gyeongbokgung. Rebuilding Gyeongbokgung could achieve two purposes that reinforced the moral justification of success of throne and established the political basis for Daewongun. As the project of rebuilding Gyeongbokgung could allow Daewongun to control political power and an foothold to command authority, he had to accomplish the project. In this moment, Sujinbojak was excavated and 『Sujinbojak-gi』 was produced and a prize was awarded quickly. 『Sujinbojak-gi』 implies the intention of Gojong and Daewongun that legitimized to rebuild Gyeongbokgung. Therefore, 『Sujinbojak-gi』 can be considered a device that justifies the success of throne for Gojong and increases the political status of Daewongun.
