본 연구는 동일한 소재를 다룬 지역 텔레비전 시사다큐멘터리 프로그램 2편의 서사구조와 영상구조를 비교․분석하여 그에 따른 현실재현 방식을 논의하고 있다. 같은 시기에 ‘해고노동자’라는 소재를 방송한 KBS대전의 <시사프로젝트 통>과 대전MBC의 <시사플러스>를 선정하였다. 분석결과, 채널 간 차이점을 보였다. <시사플러스>에서는 해고노동자들이 겪는 고통을 해당기업과의 갈등을 해결하고자 하는데 초점을 맞추어 접근한 반면 <시사프로젝트 통>에서는 해당기업 차원뿐만 아니라, 정부의 노동정책의 변화가 해고 노동자 문제를 해결할 수 있다는 신화를 보여주고 있다. 언술표현방식 중 내레이션을 <시사플러스>에서는 남자 해설자를, <시사프로젝트 통>에서는 여자 해설자로 각각 달리 함으로써 강인함과 부드러움을 표출했다. 스튜디오 영상표현방법에 있어서 <시사플러스>는 사회자 혼자 진행함에 따라 주로 미디엄 샷이 사용된 반면, <시사프로젝트 통>에서는 사회자 및 패널 3명이 출연했기에 미디엄 샷, 풀 샷, 클로즈 업 샷 등을 사용해 스튜디오 영상구도를 다양하게 연출하고 있다. 영상구성요소별 비중을 보면 <시사플러스>의 경우 인터뷰와 내레이션 비중이, <시사프로젝트 통>의 경우 내레이션과 진행자의 비중이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 차이점을 별개로 해고노동자에 대한 현실재현은 두 텍스트가 유사하다. 두 텍스트는 기존의 소수자집단을 다룬 시사다큐들이 소수자집단의 부정적인 이미지를 부각시켜왔던 서사관습과는 달리 차별화된 서사방식으로 해고노동자를 주변인이 아닌 자기 목소리를 가진 당당함을 지닌 존재로 표출함에 따라 현실재현의 방식에 소수자집단을 다른 시각으로 재현할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다.
This article tries to investigate the narrative structure, the representing reality convention and image structure of two TV current-affairs documentaries on the displaced workers in order to reveal the way in which a same issue is differently framed in same genres. For this purpose, this study compared the narrative structure and the image structural elements of Daejeon KBS’s <Sisa Project Tong> with that of Daejeon MBC’s <Sisa Plus> on the displaced workers. As a result, the narrative structure of two TV programs and, the realities of the displaced workers represented in two TV programs were different. <Sisa Plus> saw displaced workers were suffering from inside the company. <Sisa Plus> focuses on solving the friction with them. On the other hand, <Sisa project Tong> approached as korea labor’s conflict structure level, <Sisa project Tong> shows myth that changes in the government’s labor policy can solve the problem about displaced workers. As on expression of statement, especially about narration, <Sisa plus> placed male narrator to give strength. Otherwise, <Sisa project tong> placed female narrator to give softness. This made each program different feelings. A method of video expression in studio, in <Sisa plus>, host was going alone. Therefore, medium shot was mainly used. <Sisa project Tong> appeared 3 people, host and panels. So <Sisa project Tong> used medium shot, full shot, close up shot etc. In short, <Sisa project Tong> express various studio video shots. With regard to image components, <Sisa plus> is listed interviews and narration, file footage. This shows that interview has importance. Otherwise, <Sisa project Tong> is listed narration, host and reporter, action footage. Relatively, <Sisa project Tong> was found to be a large part on host and reporter portion. Two text is same with respect to the reality representation of the displaced workers. The existing articles have been overemphasized the negative image about the minority group. On the other hand, Two text is expressed as the imposing presence about the minority group, in particular the displaced workers.
