본 연구는 한국복지패널의 9차년도 자료를 사용하여 장애인 가구주의 사회적 배제가 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 데 있어서 자산수준의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석결과, 장애인 가구주의 사회적 배제는 삶의 만족도와 자산수준에 각각 부적으로 영향을 미치고, 자산수준은 삶의 만족도에 정적으로 영향을 미치며, 그리고 사회적 배제와 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 자산수준의 부분 매개효과가 검증되었다. 이를 토대로 본 연구에서는 장애인이 경험하는 사회적 배제로 인하여 저하된 삶의 만족도를 향상시키기고 또 그들의 삶의 만족도가 낮아지는 것을 예방하기 위해 자산관리 및 금융교육의 활성화를 제안하고자 하며, 무엇보다도 장애인 가구만을 대상으로 하는 특성화되고 보다 차별화된 저축프로그램의 도입이 필요하다.
This study investigated social exclusion effects on disabled households' life satisfaction and analyzed whether the effect is mediated by assets of disabled households, using the 2014 data of KoWePS. This study used a hierarchical regression analysis to examine the mediating effect of assets on the relationship between social exclusion and life satisfaction according to analysis of Baron & Kenny(1986). Research findings of this study are as follows: First, social exclusion was found to have negative impact on the life satisfaction as well as assets. Second, we found partially mediating effect of asset between social exclusion and life satisfaction. The findings suggest that we need asset management and savings program targeting disabled households' to increase deteriorated life satisfaction which were due to social exclusion. Above all, specialized savings program targeting disabled households are urgently needed to improve life satisfaction of the disabled.
