이 연구는 분단 구조와 분단 의식이 무엇인지를 밝히고, 이를 극복하기 위한 통일교육의 과제를 제시하고 있다. 한반도의 분단은 하나의 구조, 즉 분단 구조로 자리 잡았다. 이는 남북한 체제를 아우르는 최상위의 구조로서, 한반도 구성원 모두에게 지배력과 영향력을 미친다. 이러한 분단 구조의 지배력과 영향력은 통일교육에도 결정적인 것이며, 무엇보다도 분단 의식을 형성케 하고 있다. 분단 의식은 분단 구조의 부산물이자 한반도 전 구성원들의 무의식마저 지배하는 심층적 심리 구조이자 사회심리이다. 대립적 사고체계, 권위와 지배집단에 대한 순응과 굴종, 배후에서 작동하는 무의식, 민족 구성원을 호명하는 이데올로기로서의 내용을 지닌다. 남북한 교육은 이러한 분단 의식을 내면화하는 교육, 분단언어교육을 실시해 왔다. 따라서 통일교육은 이러한 분단 의식을 해체하는 교육이어야 하며 구체적인 실천 과제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 분단 이데올로기와 분단 의식, 분단 규율을 해체하는 교육이어야 한다. 둘째, 통일교육은 이분법적이고 이원적인 논리를 뛰어넘는 양가공존, 양가긍정의 공간이자 새로운 통일언어를 생성하는 코라의 공간이어야 한다. 셋째, 통일교육은 민주주의와 해방의 과정으로서 주인 기표의 생성과정이어야 한다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze divided structure and divided consciousness and suggest a subject of unification education. To attain this purpose, the following research inquiries were suggested. What were divided structure and divided consciousness formed by education in South and North Korea under a divided nation circumstances? After deconstructing these, How could an educational subject in a unification education be suggested?The condensed results through above research inquiries were as follows:First, unedr a divided nation circumstances, when a free democracy and subjective socialism formed a political idea antagonistically, an educational words in South and North Korea revealed an antagonism mutually. Second, an important subject in a unification education is to deconstruct the divided structure and divided consciousness, and to make an educational alternative plan in a unification education. Third, unification education in a new era is to deconstruct divided ideology, divided consciousness, divided discipline. Fourth, the subject in a unification education is to overcome antagonism to become a khora's space within connecting, communicating, loving each other . Fifth, unification education in a new era is to form a subject as a master of in a self-consciousness who struggles for a democracy and liberation.
