Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have time and again proved their significance in promoting human rights in the last few decades. Therefore, not only state officials but also various social groups deal with questions of political relevance across national borders. In order to investigate the effects and effectiveness of NGOs, this paper discusses the concept of NGOs as well as the role of the NGOs in various theoretical approaches. In a final case study the paper addresses the impact of Amnesty International (AI) in terms of improving the human rights situation of the Kurdish minority in Turkey. It demonstrates that NGOs are successful only in connection with the states and their public, and other international organizations.
NGO는 지난 몇십년 간 지속으로 인권실현을 위한 행동에서 가시적인 성과를 증명하고 있다. 이 논문은 NGO의 효율성과 효과를 조사하기 위하여 NGO에 관한 다양한 이론적 접근을 통해 NGO의 역할과 NGO의 컨셉을 논의하였으며, 사례 분석으로 터어키에 존재하는 쿠르드 소수민족의 인권 실현과 현황에 관한 엠네스티 인터내셔널의 행동과 영향을 연구하여 논의하였다. NGO는 특히 국가와 시민 그리고 다른 국제 기구 관의 연결에서 성공적임을 보여주고 있다.
