This paper presents a study on KFL textbooks for academic purpose. Since KFL textbooks for academic purpose was appeared in 2006, these books have been continued to develop as KGAP, KIAP and KSAP. These books are consist of teaching learning contents to get Korean competence, academic communicative competence, teaching-learning skills, critical thinking and knowledge in the area of speciality. To find how to organize these contents, four textbooks(‘Academic Korean Speaking’, ‘Academic Korean Listening’, ‘Academic Korean Writing’ and ‘Academic Korean Reading’(Yonsei University)) were examined. As a result, critical thinking is needed to treat more, because it is essential for identity formation as a university student.
