본 논문은 중국에서 나타나는 한류현상과 성공적 사례를 개략적으로 서술하였다. 아울러 한류와 기타 국가의 경험을 통하여, 오직 본토 민족문화에 근거해야만 현대화로 나아갈 수 있음을 설명하였다. 동아시아 국가에 유행한 유가문화전통은 서양에서 유래한 현대성을 수용할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 중국의 현대화를 추구하는 데도 유리할 수 있다. 유가전통문화와 현대화는 서로 융합하는 과정에서, 한편으로는 유가정신이 현대성을 촉진․발전시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 다른 한편으로는 유가문화전통 또한 시대조류에 적응하여 더욱 새롭게 태어날 수 있다.
In this paper, the phenomena and successful case of Korean Current in China is described. And it is insisted that modernization can be successful only when it is based on traditional culture. Confucian cultural tradition in East Asian countries is helpful to accept modernization which was originated in Western countries and to build Chinese modernization which is different from Western style. In the process of fusion of Chinese traditional culture and modernization, not only Confucian thoughts can contribute the modernization of China, but also Confucian cultural tradition can be reborn.
