This article analysis the academic feature of Gujintushu jicheng(古今圖書集成) which compiled and published in the period of Emperor K’ang-Hsi, also look through the influence on Qing society that present. It was the major characteristics of this book that is comprehensive in its coverage of current book of Zhuzixue, and neglect the western learning. The aspect of this book had some connection with his personal taste. Although Emperor K’ang-Hsi had great influence on nation and development of Qing culture, he did’nt enlarged the his loving western science - astronomy, mathematics, geography into nation and people. So, he was a responsibility to lower advance of scientific knowledge in his reign.
