Collective bargaining is trade union's basic activity. And the aspects of collective bargaining are very different features because of the type of unionization and labor management relations. Especially over the past 30 years collective bargaining has felt the impact of the major changes affecting the world: the debate on the role and structure of the State, economic restructuring and globalization, the growth of non-standard forms of work and temporary contracts, and many other factors too numerous to mention. High levels of unemployment and the growth of the informal sector has diminished the categories covered by collective bargaining and has stressed the importance of enterprise-level collective bargaining. So I has examined the case of Hyundai Motors. And I'd like to present some implications: (a) Trade unions should develop the goal of trade unionism and have an eye on social movement unionism; (b) Trade unions should keep social responsibility and search for the settlement of industry-level trade unionism; (c) Job units have functions like a participating minority; (d) Employers should give information to trade union fully and have an open mind to employee participation; (e) Government should be a fair umpire and service provider.
