이 논문은 우리의 무형 문화유산의 보전을 위한 개선 정책을 모색해본 논문이다. 문화재청의 발간 자료와 여러 사이트 등을 종합하여 무형문화재 보전 제도의 현황을 파악했으며, 무형문화재 종목 보유자에 대한 지원 실태를 살펴보았다. 보유자와 전승 후계자의 선발 방식과 전승 지원금 지급제도 및 이들의 선발 후 관리와 활성화 방안에 대한 개선책, 그리고 현행 전승제도 자체에 대한 보완책 등 세 갈래로 나누어 현행 제도의 미비점을 보완할 새로운 정책을 제의하였다.
An intangible cultural property embodies valuable attributes of a society that are inherited from past generations. The preservation policies for intangible cultural properties in Korea are examined and new suggestions are given for the modification of the current problems. The policy recommendations are in three areas: the improvement of the nominating and supporting systems of the holder, promotion of the transmission of the intangible cultural properties to the younger generation, and supplementary improvement for the present institutional arrangements.
