Considering the social situation of Korea, Korean language education is important issue for foreigners, especially for immigrants and their children. However, they live in each region in Korea. The local residents use their dialects rather than the standard language. Therefore, the foreigners and immigrants family can’t help having the big problem concerning the using of Korean language. This study has found that what problems happened suggesting the data about the recognition and use of the standard language and pronunciation of elementary and middle students living in each region. Also, as elementary and middle school students including teenagers using the social dialect and communication language, the foreigners as school parents need to be educated about the social dialect and communication language. The problems in the education of regional dialects are as in the following. First, it is related to phonemics. They need to know the structure of the phoneme in the each regional dialect and special variation phenomenon. In some dialects, there is a special case about the organization of prosody. Second, they need to know not only the phonological variation of vocabulary but also the specific variation of vocabulary of the regions. Third, in terms of morphology and syntax, they should need to learn the relation of the combination concerning the connect-oriented suffix and the terminal suffix. Especially because honorific differs according to the dialects, it need know knowing. The problems in the education of social dialects are as in the following. First, it is necessary to understand the diversity of slang, vulgar language, and in-word that teenagers use. Second, because of elementary and middle students’ severe errors in writing of Korean, it is needed to recognize this. Third, owing to elementary and middle students’ complexity of communication language, it is necessary to be fully aware of this. Foreigners, especially immigrants and their children are also the nation living with Korean. Especially, as people living in local regions mostly use their own dialects, it is hard for them to communicate with others unless understanding the dialects. In this respect, it is critical to teach them the dialects of the local regions. In addition, when foreigners and immigrants as parents of elementary and middle students need to understand their social dialects, it can be possible for them to communicate with others.
