This study aims to survey the tendency of Korean language history education in the highschool curriculum. The Kyosuyomok (敎授要目, the initial curriculum) contained contents about the Korean language history. Time after, Korean education consistently contained Korean language history. From the first curriculum to the 5th curriculum, the contents of Korean language history were due to reading classics or related with Korean alphabet. The 6th curriculum evolved into change of systematic linguistic structure. This is the results of the studies on the Korean language history. These evolutions are reflected on the history of textbooks. However, the education of Korean language history contained some problems. For example, the division into periods and the selected historical materials for example. We must try to solve these problems.
