Since the conclusion of Cold War, the Korean Peninsula is the only remaining symmetrically divided nation-state in the world, in which two sides maintain heavy military deployment and abnormal political relations. The inter-Korean summit in 2000 shook the standoff of Korean Peninsula and rekindled Korean people inspiration for the prestige of the integrated nation. The unification, though, cherished by both Koreas as an ultimate goal for decades, it is yet achieved any concrete progress in that direction so far due to insurmountable blocks in the reality. In other words, the unification may be realized through some unexpected chance and manner in the indefinite future, but not by subjective wishes and planning beyond reality. In this regard, this paper wants to analyze some of the related elements that are involving in the future unification.
