Los Angeles Koreatown has significant meaning for not only Korean Americans in North America, but also Koreans in other regions and Korea peninsula. This ethnic enclave is the largest one based on voluntary Korean migrations, and the most important economic, social, religious, and cultural hub in overseas. This paper discusses: Why has Los Angeles Koreatown become so large and expansive? Why did Korean immigrant choose this location? The paper concludes that the ethnic religion and entrepreneurship have played an important role in building the community’s development pattern and spatial location.
